Education is the most powerful weapon. We can use it to change the world. Education is the key to pulling people out of Poverty, propelling them towards Economic Mobility & Prosperity. It opens doors & provides access to opportunity, enables participations with freedom & enlightenment.
Corporate social responsibility is an avenue for giving back to society part of the monetary gains obtained from the society. The spirit of sharing surplus income towards development of communities has been the philanthropic endeavor of all societies across civilizations. In Indian ethos and culture too this effort has benefitted society from times immemorial. Contributions towrds social & community activities have been remarkable and well documented in the annals of history.
In the same sprit the GOI vide sec 135 of companies Act, 2013 has made it mandatory for every company registered in India or having an operational base here to spend at least 2% of their average net profits in CSR activities.
The School Education Department of Telangana has an onerous responsibility of providing quality education, values/beliefs, life skills, social skills & vocational skills, to the generation of individuals/children it handles every year. There ia always a resource crunch which could be supplemented through CSR activities. Responsive corporate citizenship could support by the Education Department, Government of India.
